But in one side it's half inch down and when I sleep on that side I feel like I am sinking and will fall from bed.

We opened this plastic and the mattress started to return to its 8" high normal size.It has a very nice zippered cover that you could actually remove to wash if needed.

Next morning, awoke naturally to the alarm clock with no urge to hit the snooze. The first night took some adjustment to it as we were not used with a memory foam; my wife has a back problem and I was worried about that aspect but his mattresses hugs your body, contours it and even minimizes the pressure points and you wake up refreshed; it is not too firm, but not too soft, we are enjoining so far. I did take a video but was not able to upload it. It's amazing! I don't believe it is waterproof, so if that is a concern, you will need to get a waterproof cover or pad.

It felt very different from our prior mattress.
