I had collected a fair number of large pine boards from shipping crates that I had kicking around for the past three years and decided that although maybe not the best surface for a woodworking bench, it was free and it would be nice to finally use them up. I decided to use mortise and tenon joints to connect all parts of the base together. I have a tiny one car garage that stores our rad 1998 Escort in the winter and this would really save a lot of space. Joints are screwed and reinforced with plywood.
