Spotted Congo Puffers are intolerant of poor water quality - as already mentioned above, make use of a decent filtration system and perform plenty of regular partial water changes.Meaty frozen foods such as Mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched brineshrimp, bloodworm, white mosquito larvae, chopped cockle and mussel meat, chopped shell-on prawns, small snails, partially opened cockle-in-shell etc should be given.
Once the schoutedeni is added would there be other stocking options? Rocks, driftwood, and hardy current-tolerant plants can all be utilised in an aquascape for these puffers.

As with other puffer species, this fish can inflate when frightened or cornered.

As a scaleless species, be aware that these fish are very sensitive to medications. I.e. He/she is a very healthy fish and seems to be parasite free. Can you keep different species of puffer together? We only have about 4 of these fish available, and they tend to move fast.This is a genuine FRESHWATER puffer from Africa that will do well in tanks 20 gallons or bigger. This is a quiet fish to other people, forceful among themselves and effectively considered a network fish and simple to think about.Received my Puffer last week.
