Get ready to reset your expectations for an entry level pen! Absolutely horrible. However, most of the Pilot products you will see won’t be fountain pens. These exceptional writing instruments embody the essence of art, design, and quality craftsmanship. Also, ink can be an issue in some pens — dry ink in a fine pen.I don’t mind the bladder and actually prefer it over the newer sized Con-40 converter, but you can also reuse the cartridge that comes with by using a syringe to flush it.If you love pens you might want to start recommending Goulet or Jetpens over Amazon. For my regular journal, I also favor old lined ledgers (they often say "Record" in fancy script), and they go along well with fountain pens! I have never run out of any of my inks, and I use a fountain pen nearly daily.
Most of the time, I found that the pen just wrote rather scratchy.
Refilling is a breeze and everyone is jealous of my fancy pen because plebs are stuck using ballpoints and getting hand cramps. When you buy a pack of cheap disposable pens, you will use, abuse, and lose those pens over time.

Let me share my full My very first fountain pens were from Pilot, but they weren’t actually the Metropolitan. Really feels superior to the Chinese cheapos. I agree that the squeeze converters aren’t great. The name “Iroshizuku” is a combination of the Japanese words “Iro" (coloring), expressing high standards and variation of colors, and “Shizuku" (droplet), that embodies the very image of dripping water. These pens, with their fluid lines and elegant finishes are modern classics.
