I guess I should have gone for a Tiki book with simpler recipes. The drinks are good. Tiki Cocktail After 1960s.

I was going to give this as a gift but I might just keep it cause of the scratches

Read it cover to cover in one sitting. Book was in perfect condition and the artwork and drinks themselves are great! When you're ready to move beyond the cliched overly sweet and mass-produced tiki drinks served at most places, this book is what you're looking for.

I've gone through the book cover-to-cover a number of times and I can't get enough.

Not everything here works — the Hawaiian Queen Bee, which I first read about in "Imbibe" magazine, is way too sweet — but a lot of this is successful without getting too crazy or, more importantly, particularly for the newcomer to these drinks, good for those who don't have all the crazy rums, liqueurs and mixers that a lot of the old recipes call for. I have all of the Jeff "Beachbum" Berry books and, yes, they are fantastic and invaluable. Fun book. She does not shy away from educating.

Is this worthwhile for those who have a few bottles and want to put them to good use?

The book is beautifully crafted and a delight to peruse.

Davis Adams’ cocktail book is packed with delicious combinations of rum, fruit juice, and other staples of the tiki scene. Perhaps, people got bored of these drinks after they had been significant for a long time.

The descriptions are nice, and it's a good basics book. fast delivery.
